WASHINGTON, May 1 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. administration has bypassed congressional review to offer arms sales worth over 8.6 billion U.S. dollars to Israel, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
Among the items were advanced precision kill weapon systems, air and missile defense replenishment services and an integrated battle command system, according to the state department.
The United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, and Iran responded with its own strikes on Israel and U.S. bases in Gulf states. ■
